About Us

The DWS legacy began in 1865 with the founding of David Weil's Sons Lithographic Company in New York City. The company established itself as a leader in printing and packaging for the food, beverage and textile industries.

Joining the company some twenty years later, Charles Staib became principal owner, the first of four generations of Staib family members dedicated to the business.

The company soon outgrew its Manhattan location and moved to a spacious 7-story building in Brooklyn (pictured in the Archives section of our portfolio), where it operated until 1965. Eventually the company outgrew its Brooklyn facility and moved again to Farmingdale Long Island, where it continued to grow and prosper. In 1980, once again the company needed more space and moved to its current Bayshore Long Island location.

David Weil's Sons Lithographic Company - now known simply as DWS - has continued to grow through the years, leading the way as an innovator in the printing and packaging industries. Today Tom and Andy Staib continue the tradition of providing first-class personal service to each and every client.
